2. Information we collect

Account information includes your email address, a password hash and login-session records. Passwords are not stored in plain text.

Monitoring information includes website names and URLs, monitoring settings, check results, response times, incidents and notification records.

Subscription information includes billing status and Stripe customer, subscription and checkout identifiers.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide accounts, monitor websites, display uptime history, detect incidents, send alerts, manage subscriptions, protect the service and respond to enquiries.

4. Lawful bases for processing

We generally process account, monitoring and subscription information because it is necessary to provide the UptimeFrog service you request (performance of a contract).

We may process information to protect the service, investigate misuse and respond to operational concerns where necessary for our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights and interests.

We may retain or process certain information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, including applicable financial and accounting requirements.

Optional Google Analytics is based on your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time through Cookie settings.

5. Payment processing

Stripe provides subscription checkout and billing management. Payment details entered into Stripe are processed by Stripe. UptimeFrog stores billing identifiers and subscription status rather than payment-card details in its application database.

6. Email notifications

We use Resend to deliver downtime and recovery alerts. This involves sharing recipient email addresses and notification content with Resend.

7. Cookies and Google Analytics

An essential session cookie keeps users signed in. Login sessions expire after seven days.

Optional Google Analytics helps us understand visits to selected public pages. Analytics remains disabled until you accept it. If accepted, Google Analytics may use cookies and process page-view and technical browser or device information.

You can reject analytics or change your choice through Cookie settings. Withdrawing consent disables further tracking and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies without removing your essential login cookie.

8. Retention and deletion

Information is retained as needed to operate UptimeFrog, maintain monitoring history, administer subscriptions and meet applicable obligations. Retention periods depend on the information and its purpose.

You can delete individual monitors. For account-deletion requests or questions about retention, contact darkproapps@gmail.com. Certain information may need to be retained for legal or legitimate operational reasons.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the processing of your personal information, object to certain processing, and receive certain information in a portable format.

You can withdraw optional analytics consent at any time. Contact darkproapps@gmail.com to exercise your rights or raise a privacy concern.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

10. Service providers and international processing

We use service providers for infrastructure, payments, email delivery and optional analytics. Information may be processed outside your country, depending on provider arrangements.
